SYRIA - The Betrayal: The Russian connection

BRICS AS AN APOLITICAL TOOL OF SELF-DEFEAT
Anyway, even if we want to believe in the honesty of the Russian government, it is impossible that Russian, Chinese and Iranian intelligence had nothing to do with the "surprise attack" coming from Idlib. Even alternative, non-MSM journalists knew about it and warned about it at least 2 months before the attack:
By now it is more than clear that, (also) because of the Russia/China/BRICS connection, Iran's false TruePromise3 and all the promises made to Lebanon and Syria were false promises, and it is also clear that all Russia and Iran did with their promises and propaganda was to buy time for Israel, Turkey and HTS, as well as to make the Assad government and its military forces waste time waiting for false promises, thus undermining their chances of success in their counter-attacks.
USING RUSSIA PROPAGANDA TO EXPOSE RUSSIAN PROPAGANDA
(link to this article)
Starting with the title "Syrian militants pledge to protect Russian bases", how is it possible that terrorists who were bombed by Russia will not take revenge and capture the encircled Russian bases? What do they get in return? Russian anti-Assad propaganda? Russian whitewashing propaganda for the those same terrorists?
"Damascus fell under the control of armed militants on Sunday". Sure, but are they terrorists or just the opposition? Suddenly, after the fall of Assad, why the vagueness?
"The anti-government militants and jihadists who toppled President Bashar Assad’s government in Syria have guaranteed the security of Russia’s military bases and diplomatic outposts in the country." Wait, what? So Russian propaganda is actually talking about the terrorists it has been bombing for years. And Russia can trust these "jihadists" (a cocktail of NATO-backed variations of al-Qaeda and ISIS)? How come?
But 11 days ago, Russia was bombing them to stop their advance on Aleppo, right? Or wasn't it? Could it be that the Russians were pretending to fight back, and that is why the Russians bombed the "jihadists"so little, so late?
"Hayat Tahrir-al-Sham (HTS) jihadists and US-armed Free Syrian Army (FSA) militants stormed Damascus on Saturday, as the Syrian Army stood down and Assad left the country for asylum in Russia. HTS leader Abu Mohammed al-Jolani, a former Al-Qaeda commander, proclaimed victory in a televised statement on Sunday." So, the Russian propaganda outlet RT continues to confirm that the terrorist organizations Russia has been fighting in recent years are in fact those that have taken power in Damascus!
So why do these terrorist organizations, enemies of Russia, promise not to attack the Russian bases in Syria? And why has Russia recognized the new Syrian government led by those whom Russia itself considers terrorists? And why is their flag now flying in the Syrian embassy in Moscow?
This is what Russian propaganda told us on December 8. Strangely enough, the same Russian propaganda told us on December 7 that Russian airstrikes had killed dozens of terrorists, and RT even made it clear that the terrorists allegedly bombed by the Russian air force were the very same "Hayat Tahrir-al-Sham (HTS)":
So, we are supposed to believe that on the very day of December 7:
- Lavrov was in Doha negotiating with Turkey, the country that fully arms, trains and supports HTS, some kind of "dialogue" between the Syria goverment and HTS/FSA.
- Assad took a plane to Moscow, despite Lavrov's supposed negotiations for dialogue.
- Russia supposedly bombed and killed dozens of HTS/FSA terrorists.
And on December 8 Russia allows HTS/FSA flag to be waved in Moscow and tells us these same HTS/FSA won't attack the Russian bases in Syria! Really?
And RT/TASS insists on telling us that "Russian officials ’are in contact with representatives of the armed Syrian opposition‘"! Really? And that the terrorists Russia was supposedly bombing just a few hours ago "have guaranteed the security of Russian military bases and diplomatic institutions on Syrian territory,” the source said, adding that “we hope for the continuation of political dialogue in the name of the interests of the Syrian people and the development of bilateral relations between Russia and Syria.”! Really?
Then, plenty of articles on Russian and Iranian media tell us that Assad, the SAA, or both betrayed Syria! Really?
As if this RT report was not absurd enough, we are then told that "Russia intervened in the Syrian Civil War in 2015" but, on the contrary, "this time around, Moscow did not commit forces to hold back the HTS and FSA assault".
What? Seriously? But, what about the reports from RT (including from the previous day) showing us videos of Russian airstrikes against them and claiming dozens of them had been killed? Here, again:
- Russian-Syrian airstrikes kill dozens of terrorists
- Syrian jets strike jihadist targets
- Russian-Syrian airstrikes kill dozens of terrorists
Which version of RT is real and which version of RT is fake? This is the same Russia propaganda machine that is now bashing Assad, accusing him of all sins, mistakes and trecherous decisions, without letting him tell us is version, despite the fact Assad is in Moscow, the same location of RT headquarters!
Wake up people, wake up! Russia betrayed Syria/Assad/SAA and it is not clever enough to sell its lies!
Zionist Russia was never really serious about protecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria. Zionist Russia was there to do what it still does: to protect its imperial military interests, which include to keep a naval base in the Mediterranean and an air base close enough to Russian interests in the Middle East and Africa, and to do all this without questioning or endangering Israeli interests. Period!
That is why Russia never solved the Idlib problem. Idlib has been cleverly used as a dumping ground for terrorists. Green buses were cleverly used to remove terrorists from all parts of Syria and restore order and secularism.
Idlib should have been closed as well. It was never cleared nor closed because Russia prioritized the contraditing joint patrols with invader Turkey. These joint patrols should have been used only for a while, until the situation calmed down in 2018. At that moment, with the country reorganized, Russia should have abandoned such contradicting join patrols with Turkey in the north and bomb to oblivion the Turkish-backed terrorists in Idlib.
Instead, the opposite happened, Russia gave Turkey and its terrorirsts 6 years to rearm in Idlib, the same way Russia signed the Minsk agreements giving NATO and its Nazi Ukrainian puppets 7 years to rearm the front line against Luhansk and Donetsk.
What to say? Congratulations Russia. It seems that you are more effective in defending Zionist interests than your own. But still, compromises can be made and allies can be betrayed in cold blood as long as Russia keeps what it needs. In 2014, it was to secure control of Sevastopol in Crimea. Now it is about securing the two bases in Syria. Russia will keep them, thus staying for the balkanization of Syria together with its fellow Zionist Israel and with its enemy USA. Go figure it out!
CHRONOLOGY OF A BETRAYAL
November 27-28- Turkey-HTS attacks from Idlib
As if Russia and Iran did not have intelligence nor technology to survey Idlib, everyone was "surprised" by the sudden Turkish-HTS attack against Syria. The invader focused on moving towards Aleppo city and, simultaneously, cut the M5 highway that connected Aleppo with the capital Damascus.
During these first two days, the only "reaction" came from Israel, which began to pave the way for the Turkish-HTS invasion by bombing the positions of the Syrian Army (SAA) in Hama and Homs, as well as several border crossings between Syria and Lebanon, a measure taken to slow down the Hezbollah forces coming to help the SAA.

November 29 - Russian strikes and brags about it
Contrary to the current Russian position (after the collapse of Syria), Russia claimed to be on the side of Assad's SAA and against HTS (still terrorists in the Russian dictionary).
On that day, with a delay of 2 and a half days, Russia started to attack the Turkish-HTS terrorists moving towards Aleppo. Too little, but not too late, if Russia would continue with the air strikes.
Now we know that the Russians played a double game, publishing many news reports with the same and repeated airstrike, selling the image of a Russia fighting terrorism without actually fighting it:
However, Russia did not bomb too much because Russia already knew that Russia had decided to let Syria fall and Russia had decided to be friendly with the HTS terrorists soon after:
And to work with HTS in the balkanization of Syria:
If the Russian airstrikes on November 29 were not an agreement with Turkey and HTS to deceive Assad and the eyes of the world, why didn't Russia bomb much more and much earlier? Again, those who now argue that Assad betrayed Syria are denying pure logic.
On the other hand, the US Air Force bombed Der Ez-Zor in the eastern part of Syria, which is still controlled by the SAA. As always, Syrian airspace could be used at will by the enemies of Syria, knowing that Russia would never react to protect Syria, nor allow Syria to shoot down US/Israeli planes with Russian air defense systems, which is the opposite of what NATO is doing against Russia in Ukraine and now against Russia itself.

November 30 - Every one joins the game, except Russia and Iran
On November 30, while Russia and Iran were doing absolutely nothing, everyone else was moving.
The Turkish-HTS entered Aleppo, extended its control over the M5 highways and the area south of Idlib and moved towards Hama.
Turkey started bombing Kurdish positions in different parts of Syria.
Kurdish terrorists from the SDF took advantage of the power vacuum left by the withdrawal of SAA forces and began to seize land as well, especially in eastern Syria and around Aleppo.
Israel continued to bomb SAA positions in various parts of the country, while the US announced that its FSA terrorists in Al-Tanf (Syrian territory) were ready to move (towards Damascus, of course).
The SAA army withdrew and repositioned itself to protect Hama and Homs, the reasonable line defined by Assad to resist and counterattack when he did not yet know that Russia and Iran had already decided to betray Syria.

In the meantime, Iran and Russia were in fact just watching!
December 1-2 - Syria fights back
With all enemy forces moving in all directions and supposed allies Russia and Iran still doing absolutely nothing, Syria was finally ready to fight back, waiting for Turkish-HTS terrorists in Hama, SAA fought back and managed to stop the Turkish-HTS terrorists' advances. On December 2, the SAA even managed to retake land.
Meanwhile, Kurdish SDF seized more territory in Aleppo (including 2 airports) and Eastern Syria, only to lose most of it to Turkish-HTS soon after.
Meanwhile, "FSA rebels" were preparing to emerge from areas that conveniently border Jordan and the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.
Israel also continued to bomb Syrian-Lebanese border crossings with total impunity, unafraid of the treacherous Russian air force.
Despite Russian and Iranian inaction, thousands of Iraqi Hashd ash-Shaabi fighters were on the Syrian border (next to Abu Kamal), ready and willing to join the SAA in the fight against Western-sponsored terrorism. The problem was that the supposed Syrian ally called Russia, as usual, did not provide air cover to help them safely enter Syria, proving once again that Russia has never been on Syria's side.
On the other hand, the US Air Force continued to bomb Abu Kamal, Al Mayadin and other cities and towns near the Syrian-Iraqi border, thus preventing Iraqi help from entering Syria.
The sequence of actions contradicts the current Iranian/Russian media-supported narrative, popular among "alternative" audiences, that Assad somehow vaguely "refused" something, "refused to listen" to some words, "refused" some kind of vague, unknown support from Iran and Russia.
Why would Assad do this and at the same time do the right and logical thing? Simple, to:
- withdraw from undefendable positions (near Idlib and Aleppo) and from non-strategic positions (east)
- redeploy and regroup troops where it would be possible to fight back (Hama, Homs)
- fight back and regain control of territory
- count on promised Iranian and Iraqi military help to increase the chances of success.
Where in this equation was Assad a coward, delusional, or traitor? Where, exactly? Can't those who are now shamelessly attacking Assad see that they are just regurgitating baseless Iranian and Russian propaganda designed to deceive them? Instead, why don't you ask why the U.S. Air Force and even the Israeli Air Force have been able to fly over Syria with complete impunity, as if the Russian Air Force present in Syria didn't even exist? Assad's fault again?
Look at all the contradictions. For example, on December 1, unlike now, RT was still reporting the factual reality that Assad and the SAA were fighting back:
Why are they now saying that Assad has abandoned and betrayed Syria? Projection and deception on the part of Russia and Iran. Period!
Look who actually betrayed the Syrian people: Iran! Yes, Iran, the land of false true promises and almighty high-tech missiles that are not meant to strike back at the aggressor Israel, let alone help Palestine, Lebanon or Syria:
Not only Iran would not protect Syria nor allow Iraqi Shiite forces to enter Syria to help the SAA resist this new Turkish-HTS terrorist (as promised), actually the Iranian foreign minister went to Turkey to meet his Turkish counterpart to discuss, who would guess it... the topic of "anti-terror fight" while respecting any order coming from Israel. Meanwhile, Erdogan continued to reveal his true intentions aloud, thus exposing the treacherous nature of the Iranian visit to Turkey.
At the same time, the BRICS machine continued to send mixed signals through empty words and empty promises to placate their plebs who still believe that the BRICS members are here to build a better future:
December 3 - Russian drills in the Mediterranean
December 3 was probably the last day of Syrian territorial gains against the invading forces of the Turkish-HTS. While Syria was still waiting for foreign reinforcements to contain the Turkish-HTS in Hama, Iran was still deceiving Syria and making the SAA troops waste time and lives because Iran was still promising in vain to send that help that never came, confirming once again that those who accuse Assad of betraying Syria are projecting themselves or reading too much Iranian propaganda:
Following the path of the Iranian foreign minister, Putin decided to have a phone call with Erdogan while helpess Syria was fighting Turkish-HTS:
According to Russia propaganda outlet RT, "the leaders of Russia and Turkey held a phone call during which they discussed the escalation in Syria among other issues". You see, hordes of terrorists backed by Turkey are invading Syria, Assad and the SAA are resisting, and Russia/Iran are meeting and chatting with the invaders instead of supporting the Syrian military. Who are the traitors here?
Meanwhile, with the help of massive US airstrikes, Kurdish terrorists from the SDF managed to capture the strategic city of Deir Ez-Zor, proving once again that the Russian Air Force and Russian air defense systems are not to be used to protect Syria from Western imperialism and genocidal terrorism. Russia is the traitor here, don't even try to deny it!

Assad and the SAA did not betray Syria. Russia did. Syria fought and waited, for example, for the loyal Hezbollah, which agreed to come and help, but, blocked by Israeli airstrikes, couldn't come.
Meanwhile, the Russian Air Force, which is actually present in Syria, instead of protecting Syria, chose this very critical day of November 3 to conduct military exercises in the Mediterranean Sea, using warships and submarines to fire hypersonic Zircon missiles and Kalibr cruise missiles at the Syrian coast:
- Russian MiG-31I jets with Kinzhal missiles take part in Mediterranean drills
- Russia launches hypersonic missiles in Mediterranean Sea
- Russian warships and submarine fired hypersonic Zircon missiles and Kalibr cruise missiles during exercises on Syrian coast
This was a powerful Russian message to Assad and the SAA to "go fuck themselves". Poor Russia, "overstretched in Ukraine," takes its supposed remaining missiles and uses them to practice shooting in Syrian waters, not far from where abandoned Syrians were starved by the West and beheaded by Turkey-backed Turkmen, Uzbeks and Uighurs. Again, who betrayed whom?
December 4 - Encirclement of Hama city
Turkish-HTS quickly spread throughout northern Syria. Turkish-HTS also continued to fight with Kurdish SDF in the game to see who could grab more Syrian land faster. The Turkish army also became directly involved, shelling Kurdish SDF positions in northern Syria.
Although the loyal Hezbollah was still offering help to Syria, abandoned by the treacherous Russia and Iran, the SAA forces could no longer hold positions outside Hama and thus this strategic city began to be encircled by the Turkish-HTS terrorist forces.
December 5 - Hama city falls
As expected, the city of Hama fell the next day and SAA forces retreated to the city of Homs, the very last place where resistance could be attempted to protect the capital while waiting for foreign support (which never came).
In full trolling mode, despite wasting time and money on useless military drills in critical days for Syria and meeting with the leader of the same terrorist state (Turkey) invading Syria, treacherous Russia, through the voice of Peskov, still sent contradictory signs of hope and help:
We are in constant dialogue with our Syrian friends in Damascus. Depending on the assessment of the situation, the amount of assistance can be decided that the Syrian authorities would need to deal with the militants and eliminate this threat,”
Of course, Peskov did not mean anything he said. He only helped the Turkish-HTS invasion by making people believe that it was still possible to hold positions in Homs. If Assad had not believed these Russian lies, the SAA would have already withdrawn all its forces to the Damascus area.
By that time, Western media was already fully focused on preparing its population to swallow stories about the virtues of al-Qaeda in Syria (HTS) and its leader al-Jolani (former ISIS commander), proclaiming the endless virtues of these "moderate" and "progressive" extreme terrorists who somehow embrace all woke and progressive trends. Even the Russian propaganda outlet RT conveniently noticed the fraud:
December 6 - "FSA rebels" start to move in the South
With the fall of Hama and the imminent fall of Homs, the US, with the support of Israel and Jordan, finally gave orders to its terrorist cells in southern Syria and al-Tanf (US-occupied Syrian territory).
In the east, taking advantage of the collapse of the SAA and the inaction of Iran and Russia, Kurdish terrorist forces of the SDF began to seize town after town in the corridor from Abu Kamal to Deir Ez-Zor.
Iran was also still engaged in false promises of aid, a measure clearly taken only to cleanse and preserve its image as the amazing head of the Axis of Resistance that will one day crush the "head of the snake".
December 7 - Doha Meeting while Syrian falls
This was the day chosen by the Russian and Iranian traitors to meet with the invader Turkey on the soil of a US vassal Qatar to discuss the future of Syria without Syria:
- Turkey, Russia and Iran Meet in Doha Seeking Exit From Syria Chaos
- Using terrorism for geopolitical goals unacceptable – Russia
Lavrov's words during the meeting simply contradict the factual reality between November 27 and December 6. Who was Lavrov talking to? To Syria? The Russian audience? The world audience? Please read:
We are absolutely convinced of the inadmissibility of using terrorists like Hayat Tahrir al-Sham to achieve geopolitical goals, as it is now being done by orchestrating the offensive in the Idlib de-escalation zone.”
There are many more disgusting and provocative contradictions from Lavrov:
For example, why did Lavrov call for negotiations with the terrorist "opposition" backed by terrorist Turkey, sitting next to the Turkish delegate, while the same terrorist "opposition" was entering Damascus and Russia was forcing Assad on a plane to Moscow?
Or, why did Lavrov tell the world that HTS terrorists should not rule Syria while HTS terrorists took control of the capital?
Lavrov and the Russian government were talking to themselves, trying to convince themselves that there are two different things called the good "opposition" and the bad "HTS," as if they are not the same thing right now, and as if HTS is not taking power in Damascus. Lavrov is also trying to clean Russia's hands by pretending to be civilized and having nothing to do with whatever wrongdoing of the terrorist (opposition) HTS.
Meanwhile, US-backed terrorist forces from al-Tanf were already in control of Palmyra and on their way to Damascus. Again, why does Lavrov pretend to ignore that opposition means the US, US-backed terrorists, Turkey, Turkish-backed terrorists, Israel, and Israeli-backed terrorists?
Meanwhile, of course, the first terrorist forces entered Damascus from the south. The Syrian government, abandoned by its "allies," had finally fallen. Assad and his family were on their way to Russia.

December 8 - Beginning of Israeli colonization of Southern Syria
While the first bands of US-Israeli-Turkish (and now also Russian-Iranian) backed terrorists were already in control of the capital, more US-backed terrorists from al-Tanf joined them to reach the suburbs of Damascus. Some others moved north to join the Turkish-backed ones coming from Homs and Hama, proving once and for all that the FSA, Turkish-HTS-Al-Qaeda, Israel and the USA are a common force of terrorist invasion.

As soon as it was confirmed that the HTS terrorists (aka the opposition) had taken control of Syria and Assad had left the country, Israel immediately began to colonize more Syrian land beyond the Golan Heights and to claim credit for the overthrow of Assad.
Israel also began to betray its HTS-FSA opposition terrorists minutes after their conquest made possible by Israel itself. Betrayed how? Simple. As soon as Israel was sure that the power was in the hands of the terrorists, Israel did not need the terrorists anymore. Now what Israel needs and is doing is:
- Destroy (bomb) all weapons depots, military bases, airports (both civilian and military) and anything else that could give strength to the new Syrian rulers.
- Create a power vacuum and balkanization of Syria that will benefit Israel.

Then came the crucial contradictions. Despite Lavrov's words hours before, Russia suddenly decided to be on good terms with the terrorists that Russia supposedly bombed on December 29 in order to keep its bases in Syria. The smell of betrayal is everywhere. It is normal not to have noticed the betrayal when Russia abandoned Syria and did not protect it, but it is absurd to continue not to see it!
Iran's contradictions are even more blatant, exposing the suspected treachery:
- Iran wants relations with Syria to continue after coup
- Iran distancing itself from Syrian internal affairs
- Tehran SIGNS $40 BILLION deal with Russian energy giant Gazprom
The same Iran that promised to help Syria fight terrorism, but didn't, is the same Iran that is now blaming the Assad government for not negotiating with the opposition (read terrorists):

Negotiate what? Still, not that surprising from the same Iran that falsely made TruePromises and abandoned Palestine and Hezbollah.
This was also the day that Russia confirmed that Assad was already in Moscow:
As a result of the fall of Assad and the Russian-Iranian betrayal, Palestine and Lebanon-Hezbollah are now finished. And no one seems to care! All that matters is to call Western backed terrorists "terrorists" and bash Assad! Amen!
December 9-11 - Israeli purge and occupation in Syria
Now that the job of removing Assad is done, and the end of the Axis of Resistance is confirmed, Israel is in full mode of cleansing what remains of Syria of military equipment and installations. Israel calls it "sterilization".
As expected, the two irreconcilable flavors of US imperialism are getting along and agreeing on who takes what in this process of balkanization of Syria.
More surprising (or not) is the fact that Russia will keep its two military bases in the coast of what was once Syria. How can Russian mantain miltary presence inside a balkanized country under the US control and, at the same time be at war with the US in Eastern Europe? Good question!
Meanwhile, the anti-Assad propaganda went into high gear to reverse reality. Russia and Iran went from being the ones who kept promising military aid to being the ones exposing his alleged sins, now that he can't talk, let alone defend himself.
Everything is claimed, from Assad being a traitor, to Assad having deserted, or his forces, or both, who knows? Assad, for some mysterious reason, insisted on not receiving help, or refused to listen to supposedly "good" advice from those who left him alone to fight the Combined West.
All this is being said about a man who was taken by force, put on a plane and sent to Moscow.
More, the same Russian propaganda experts who made the decision to pretend that the obvious was not happening are now pretending to be the voices of wisdom that no one took the time to listen to:
Still, congratulations to Russia for being less barbaric than the US. The US executed Gaddafi on live TV. Russia just sent Assad to his own capital by force. Maybe Russia is just less stupid and better at shaping perceptions. Russia gets to play the hero and keeps control under Assad to keep his mouth shut. Genial!
But shame on the alternative plebs and alternative journalists and commentators for swallowing the now ubiquitous and vile Iranian-Russian anti-Assad propaganda, as we saw in the second part of this essay.
