PART 2 - China, please do not help sinophobic Portugal, by Luís Garcia
Before continuing exposing the Portuguese government-owned RTP and its sinophobic lies, let me show you this report from RTP published a few minutes after my article PART 1 - China, please do not help sinophobic Portugal.
I was precisely publishing my arguments against Chinese help to Portugal when, according to the same RTP, 24 tons of Chinese medical supplies arrived in Lisbon, Portugal:
Plane arrived in Lisbon with medical supplies from China
A plane arrived at Portela Airport with 24 tons of medical supplies. It was supposed to bring 35 tons of personal protective equipment, ventilators and also reagents to be used in Covid-19 tests. But not everything was ready and only 24 tons were sent."
See, in the RTP's article I have been exposing, Portuguese state-owned RTP criticized Chinese state-owned media for daring to report Chinese aid to other nations. Now we have Portuguese state-owned RTP reporting Chinese aid to other nations!
Basically, RTP is telling us than they have the right to inform, while Chinese state-owned don't! This comes from the same RTP that often, and erroneously, accuses Chinese state-owned media of censoring or not reporting information!
Notice the Western sense of exceptionalism here?
1️⃣2️⃣ Going back to the mega-article RTP wrote offending China, let's now debunk the next topic of it, which RTP named "[China] blaming others".
According to RTP, China's "strategy aims to silence internal criticism and latent anger in the country against the central government, due to an alleged initial cover-up of the outbreak, which may have paved the way for the rapid spread of covid-19."
I wonder what strategy is RTP talking about? The humanitarian aid strategy to fight an epidemic caused not by Chinese but rather by Italians, French, Spanish, Yankees, and others? Look at the list of origin of first case by country! Almost all from Italy, France, Spain, the UK, and the US Terror state!
Latent anger in the country? Where? Why?
All we see is Chinese people celebrating their outstanding success and efficiency in suppressing an epidemic as the humankind had never witnessed before!
All we see is the Chinese people congratulating the medical personnel, authorities and every other Chinese citizen who self-inflicted enormous amounts of pain and hardship to accomplish what they indeed accomplished!
All we see is the Chinese people proud of their cultural heritage, which prioritizes preventive measures (unlike Western culture), common good (unlike Western culture) and the survival of their beloved Chinese civilization!
RTP sees anger where there's celebration! How dare you Portuguese prostituted journalists working at RTP? How dare you?
As for the "alleged initial cover-up of the outbreak, which may have paved the way for the rapid spread of covid-19", yes, you are right: ALLEGED! Nathan Rich, a Beijing-based US citizen, already debunked all those sinophobic allegations which Western media, viciously, keep repeating ad nauseam. Please watch Nathan Rich's CORONAVIRUS LIES and Coronavirus TIMELINE.
And again, what a dumb silly allegation by RTP and others! There was not a rapid spread of the virus until Western expats in China decided to go back home and spread the virus all over the world in the most nihilistic manner!
1️⃣3️⃣ RTP cited Sahdi Hamid, a senior member of the Brookings Institution in Washington, who argued that "by selling this narrative, China gets rid of its responsibility and manages to avoid blame for its role in the spread of the coronavirus" and that "by censoring information about the virus and allowing it to spread without control in the crucial first few days and weeks, the regime has endangered the more than 100 nations that now face their own potentially devastating outbreaks".
Again, lies after lies, and a propagandist persistence in using only references who kneel in front of US Terror State's bloody flag. There's never room for Chinese, Syrian or Russian points of view in this obedient propaganda outlet of US imperialism named Portuguese Radio Television (RTP).
In fact, in the very first days of the epidemic in China, the Chinese authorities officially informed their counterparts throughout the world and the WHO with all the information they could collect, including scientific data made absolutely public!
It is very easy to prove Sahdi Hamid lied. Just watch Coronavirus TIMELINE.
And no, China has not endangered 100 nations. That's a pure lie, as only 20+ nations got their first case of COVID-19 from China, and for weeks, none of them had any serious outbreak.
1️⃣4️⃣ Once again, RTP decided to cite a parrot of US propaganda, Anne-Marie Brady, a professor at the University of Canterbury expert in Chinese politics. By expert they mean she knows the name of one Chinese political figure of the past, an amazing achievement that allows her now to make nonsensical meaningless pedantic statements such as:
"The Government of Xi is now adopting a very aggressive foreign policy, adopting what Mao Zedong called the war of words - the propaganda war."
No, don't even try to get it, dear reader. Western postmodern pseudo-political analyses are not meant to make sense!
1️⃣5️⃣ According to RTP, "some analysts say the new strategy of the Chinese propaganda machine was originated by the deterioration of relations between Beijing and Washington, due to a tariff war."
Nonsense! Some analysts say the earth is flat. So what?
Seriously, there's no strategy here. So far RTP only enumerated examples of Chinese media producing news about what happens for real! This is not a strategy! Although this Portuguese journalists never heard about such a thing, this is journalism!
There's not a "propaganda machine" in the pejorative sense of the term because the Chinese state-owned media in question are not selling any kind of political ideal or goal. They are just reporting facts backed by high-definition footage!
It has nothing to do with the deterioration of relations between China and the US Terror State because the subject is Chinese state-owned media reporting the COVID-19 epidemic and not the US Terror State economic war on China.
No, it is not a US-China tariff war. It is a US tariff aggression on China!
1️⃣6️⃣ A new topic now, the "Chinese virus".
According to RTP, "last week, Beijing expelled more than a dozen US journalists working for US newspapers such as The Wall Street Journal, the New York Times and the Washington Post, apparently a reaction to the White House's decision to label Chinese state media as diplomatic missions."
Seriously, that is what they did, to label Chinese media as "diplomatic missions"? No, you didn't get it right. The decision was to consider Chinese media as foreign agents, which is not exactly the same thing. Oh, give me a break!
Next time, check your automatic translator and, if possible, learn more about the definition of foreign agents. Here, read this: U.S. Code CHAPTER 11—FOREIGN AGENTS AND PROPAGANDA.
The definition of foreign agent itself, tells us that the US administration went against its own legislation, as its definition of a foreign agent "does not include any news or press service or association organized under the laws of the United States".
That's what you should be reporting dear not dear RTP! The US Terror State violating their own laws is The News, not China responding to abject sinophobic propaganda produced in Chinese territory by American propagandists! And even this last point you didn't get it right!
1️⃣7️⃣ RTP says Trump has been playing with the word Chinese and the word virus. RTP also says that the Chinese Minister of Foreign Affairs considers this behavior "irresponsible" and "racist".
Yes, he is right! It is irresponsible and racist!
I know RTP censored itself and didn't dare to write down with precision what Trump actually says, but he indeed uses the racist expression "Chinese virus" all the time!
Any comments about this? Yes, RTP has one: "and, more importantly, instead of sweeping Trump's comments under the mat [instead of pretending not to hear it], as they usually do with critics against the Chinese Communist Party's ideology, state media are using the US President's arguments to incite public anger against the leader of the United States and, by extension, against all Americans."
